This piece design offers improved shielding characteristic over competitive designs, as well as providing lower installed cost. The WPI® overmold can is available in the popular 25 contact size, and incorporates a single ferrule for a variety of cable diameters, eliminating the need for inner / outer crimp typical of other offerings. The overmold can offer up to 40 dB shielding at one gHz.
