Modular Integrated Transportable Substation

A Cost, Time, and Space Saving Solution

mits_mobile.jpg

MITS is an electrical power distribution substation or any other grouping of electrical equipment that is assembled on a self-supporting structural base and wired together (integrated) at the factory. Alternately the equipment can be mounted on a D.O.T. compliant trailer for mobile applications.

If you are planning to build or replace a new substation or distribution center or add capacity to an existing substation, MITS can provide a total packaged solution - saving costs, time, space, and labor. Cooper Power Systems can manufacture the entire MITS system, ensuring a completely integrated design to meet your unique product specification.

    • Fully Integrated - Factory-assembled, wired, and tested to minimize on-site labor costs, quality issues, and time. This includes on-board protection, control, and automation devices.
    • Modular - Flexible, expandable design allows a variety of equipment configurations for various applications. Modules can be connected together to form larger, more complex substations.
    • Transportable - Structural base allows for assembled units to be lifted and transported, and relocated. Base provides protection for interconnection power and control cabling and can also be designed for on-board oil containment.
  • Skid-mounted Design

Cooper Power Systems Modular Integrated Transportable Substation (MITS) is an electrical power distribution substation or any other grouping of electrical equipment that is assembled on a self-supporting structural base and wired together (integrated) at the factory. MITS can be readily transported to the project site and set in place with one crane lift meaning quick, safe and easy installation. Modular substations require minimal site work and field connections. Modular designs can be standardized and easily accommodate future modifications. Complex equipment arrangements can be realized by connecting two or more modules. All of this equates to lower costs, faster installations, aesthetically pleasing design and most importantly a safe and secure system.

  • Mobile MITS Design

    mits_mobile.jpg

A ‘ready to roll’ electrical power distribution solution designed for limited spaces, with the capability to be energized within a few hours of deployment.

Aware of environmental regulations faced by customers, Cooper Power Systems mobile MITS feature the Company’s FR3 and/or Envirotemp-200 (switchgear application) fluids. Reducing the drawbacks that may occur with mineral-oil filled Mobiles, FR3 fluid allows for higher continuous operating temperatures in Mobile Transformer / Voltage Regulators, resulting in higher kVA loading or less transport weight design.

Your Mobile MITS trailer may include 15 through 35kV class switchgear, solid dielectric reclosers and capacitor banks. (Nonenclosed capacitor bank is available for above 35kV system applications.)
