In 1991, Cooper Lighting’s goal of providing leadership in lighting education, and the creation of a showcase for technological advancements in lighting, became a reality when the SOURCE opened in Elk Grove Village, Illinois.
Ten years later, Cooper Lighting expanded its commitment to the original goal by recreating the SOURCE at the new corporate headquarters in Peachtree City, Georgia, with a 35,000 sq. ft. state-of the-art facility. Cooper Lighting was the first luminaire manufacturer in the lighting industry to make such an extensive, long-term commitment to the advancement of lighting education.
For over 20 years, the SOURCE has set the benchmark for educational facilities in the lighting industry, providing the highest standard of professional lighting education to the industry. Since its inception, over 100,000 individuals have benefited from the SOURCE experience, including specifiers, interior designers, architects, electrical contractors, engineers, distributors, builders, landscape architects and university students.
