As a leading manufacturer of electrical products and tools and hardware,
product responsibility is our primary concern. The ultimate purpose of
our business is to offer products and services that help to manage
electricity, supply power and provide tools and hardware for customers
the world over. Cooper’s products enhance virtually every environment in
society. Take a closer look at our
products and brands to see
how our customers rely on the safety, efficiency and reliability of our
products.
As a matter of policy and practice, we have long held that all Cooper
products must be designed, produced and delivered with the safety of
our customers as a primary consideration. We believe that safety must
be inherent in everything we do as we design, test, manufacture and
deliver Cooper products. To achieve this goal, we stress that each
employee must understand and diligently carry out his or her
responsibilities as they relate and contribute to the safe use of our
products. And we believe that product responsibility goes beyond product
safety. To that end, each Cooper operating division has a Product Safety
Council, a cross-functional team that reviews and recommends a wide range
of product and process improvements, including safety product support,
industry education, safety labeling, product ergonomics, ease of
installation and use, waste reduction, recycled and recyclable packaging,
energy conservation and environmental conservation.
We are committed to designing products that are easy to use,
environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. To read about one of these

fluid, which was profiled in a recent edition of
Transmission and Distribution World.
Training
Cooper believes it is important for those who sell and buy the Company’s
products to understand how and where they are to be used. Added to this
is the need to understand the countless industry and government standards
that relate to electrical products, as well as the growing diversity of
our customer base and the technical sophistication of today’s electrical
systems. This is why Cooper provided more than 100,000 hours of world-class
training last year, with classes designed to ensure the appropriate use of
our products.
